Tuesday 2 March: I found my last 2 artists, I decided to cutout Aleksandr Rodchenko, because I really wanted to research into Tinker Hatfield and Richard Mosse. They were both artists I was aware of before so the research just appealed to me more. So currently my artist roster is: Louis Kahn, Jean Nouvel, Tadao Ando, Tinker Hatfield, Charles & Ray Eames and Richard Mosse. I started the research on Louis Kahn today, he's the artist I was most exited to start researching, because I love his work, and have heard he was a very interesting character. Today I just read an interview of Harriet Pattison, one of Kahn's lover, and I think I'm really going to enjoy this research. In the article there is the mention of a documentary film called My architect so I've opened that up in a new tab to go through later.
Wednesday 3: Today I had another online lesson, this one focused on the project proposal portion of the project. This part is quite important because it is where I'll write where I want to go with this project. However I think it would not be wise for me to really focus on that right now, because my research has barely just started. So I carried on with my research and watched the "My architect" documentary, and it was fascinating, but also very emotive, especially the last discussion with Shamsul Wares that just highlighted just how beautiful and impactful the profession of architecture could be. I was truly an inspiring documentary, and not just in terms of this project, but rather just me wanting one day to be a great architect. ( the discussion with Wares starts at 7:40)
Thursday 4: Had another video lesson, nothing much that was new, I know what needs to be done. Today completed and published my first Blog post for the FMP, it was just about the brief and my initial thoughts, etc. I also decided to carry a little research into what innovation actually means, the websites I was on didn't directly link to innovation in art, but it was still related to my project and I found that for something to be innovative, it needs to be made, and it needs to have an impact, such an impact that others use the ideas you put forth moving forward. This was really useful because it clarified that ideally I would need to produce something at the end. Now obviously no building will be made, but a maquette will do the job, and it will also be good because it will tend to one of the weakness I stated in my self reflection. So I've written up that stuff on innovation, but it's just a draft post at the moment.

Friday 5: Today I focused on getting more research on Khan done, I'm notting down everything on paper at the moment, and will then write everything in neat paragraphs making sure I answer all the questions in the powerpoint and everything. I'm still absolutely loving the research on Kahn. In today's research the concept of served, and servant rooms came up, and it's one of the thing that Kahn really moved forward, and it's quite interesting, this idea of really separating the living spaces from all the other spaces that accommodate that. I however don't fully get it so I'll research it further alongside the platonic solids which I know nothing about once I've finished my artist research. Today I also published a blog post covering my self reflection, with a snipet from an Idiot Abroad season 2 episode 7 of Karl Pilkington demanding that I get back to work ( I'm pretty sure that the show will not influence anything else in the project).

Saturday 6: I finished my six drawings for the task on the innovations from different periods. It was a fun task, I don't draw much but I really do enjoy it especially when it's drawings that don't really matter. Probably not the best way to describe them, but essentially they are a drawings that don't form much of my project so I do not really have to worry about them, and just have fun with them really. There is no aspect of worrying wether the proportions are right, lines straight etc. So I just scanned those and will put them together tomorrow most likely and publish a blog post on it.
Sunday 7: So I finished the blog post on the 6 drawings and the understanding innovation post. It was just quick annotation for both. I also wrote up the rational part of the project proposal. So far it's all I have in terms of that, I have no clue what I want my project concept to be, and I think that's fine, I'm still on my first artist in terms of the research.
