The next task was to just note down what you think were your strengths and weakness are.
Here are mine:
+ Research - I'm always happy with the research I carry out, and feel like it informs my projects very well.
+ Sketchup - I am confidently able to convert a design idea into a 3D model.
+ Composition/ Layouts - I think I lay my work out well, it is clear and gets the point across.
+ Problem Solving - I'm able to identify problems and adjust the designs to resolve these. + Finding Ideas - I like how I approach projects, and think that leads to pretty interesting designs.
- Drawing - I am not very confident in my drawing, and the drawings I do have are a lot more basic and simple then I would like.
- Sampling - I often rush through this stage, only sampling materials for the final structure, when I should be sampling a lot more before that, doing so will most likely result in better though-out designs.
- Evaluating work - My evaluations cover the generals I think, but I should be a lot more thorough and critical, especially if I'm aiming for those high grades.
- Planning - I never really plan my projects, and that always leads to a few frantic days at the end, maybe leading to some aspects of the project not getting equal attention.
- Physical Models - I don't feel as comfortable creating physical models, the only one I made was from Legos, a medium I am really used to.
Throughout this project I will try and work on those weaknesses, they're obviously not quick fixes, but I hope this project will show progress in those aspects. I will still be working with the mediums I am comfortable with, this project is quite long, so there's space for a lot.
