Plans for the model

The next step is to get a good understanding of what I want this model to represent, and which aspect of the building I really want to put forth. I think it is sensible to say that some features of my design won't be modelled, I just have to choose which I don't mind getting rid of, or rather which features I really want people to see. I think that in every design there are parts that get more love, more attention and those parts usually are the best, and in my design there are aspect that for me were the center of attention aesthetically speaking. Those for me were the cross corridors, the rotating panels and the kitchen/living. I believe those are what makes the design, and being that the model's purpose is to show off the building I think it is the right decision to prioritize the features that make the building's aesthetic. I will not model the inside of rooms, the ground floor laundrettes or the lifts. I think modelling those would crowd the model and take away from what I want to show. Other features such as the roof and groin vault (entrance hall sloping structure) will have to be changed or discarded completely and that is down to the process I'm using. It'll be the first time I laser cut a model, and I don't know how to re-create the slopes present there. The roof will simply just be flattened, which is find I think because the main design of it will be there. As for the vaulted roof of the ground floor that will not be present, which I think should be fine enough as that space will not be visible in the model.
