Just a mood board of housing projects that I came across, I picked the ones that I found most original and connected with the most. They are are all very unusual and offer fresh ideas. Some I find very cool, others seem like they don't quite fit on earth. I like mood-boarding because you get to see such a breadth of different works, that are all inspiring or show what I don't want to do. Now when it comes to my project, I don't want to build as tall as the tall projects there, nor do I want to build on just one level, and repeat it, because that just looks soo creepy to me. So I want to definitely build up, most likely with some sort of pattern or regularity.
Second mood board is a variety of student housing projects, and I find that in contrast to the housing projects they seem to be a bit more playful, and encourage a sense of community, with a few of the projects having large corridors that all look inwards. I think that's important for student accommodation, that there is a sense of community and maybe playfulness, however I don't know to what extend for the playfulness, because I do not want to colour my building for example. I also put in projects that have a lot repetition, but still manage to be very visually interesting. I think that if there is a lot of repetition the best way is to kind of break it from time to time, or layer it with a non repetitive facade, or something that will just draw some attention away because I think otherwise it can be a little daunting.
